As an Operations Fellow, Bianca’s work supports the development of Essie’s technology and data infrastructure, financial processes, and organization practices across two offices.
Bianca previously interned for Essie as a college freshman and eagerly returned after further deepening her breadth of experience in criminal legal reform research. Prior to her return to Essie, Bianca interned for Vera Institute of Justice, where she conducted policy research on the use of various pre-trial tools. Additionally, Bianca participated in the Oscar S. Straus II Fellowship in Criminal Justice funded by the Guggenheim Foundation that fosters a deeper understanding of the role of community organizing in ending unjust systems. Throughout these experiences, Bianca cultivated a belief in the value of attacking systemic issues through empowering the communities that the system attempts to suppress. Bianca holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Columbia University in New York City, New York.
