As Director of Strategy, Lily works cross-functionally across the organization to expand Essie’s programmatic reach, raise and manage resources, build and maintain organizational infrastructure, and advance Essie’s gender justice perspective.

Lily brings more than five years of experience in social innovation to Essie, along with a passion for creative problem solving and building with integrity, and a deep belief in power of women. Previously, she was part of the Tipping Point Community’s T-Lab, where she focused on innovative ways to support people reentering their communities after prison or jail. Lily began her career in public service in the New York City Council, where she focused on affordable housing advocacy and press strategy. She was also a founding Advisory Council member of the Hope Reichbach Memorial Fund, which enables vital learning experiences and career development for underprivileged college students. Lily holds a BA in Government from Wesleyan University.
