Malika is Senior Counsel on Civil and Human Rights at Google. Malika is also the Co-Founder and former Director of Human Rights Project for Girls.

As human rights attorney, Malika helped end the federal practice of shackling pregnant mothers in U.S. prisons. Subsequently the Obama White House selected Malika to serve on the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS.

She has been on CNN, ABC News, and Good Morning America and is an award-winning advocate. Malika brings her immensely compassionate and caretaking spirit to the Essie Justice Group Board of Directors.
