As Development Associate, Nana is helping to advance Essie’s programs by securing sustainable funding that aligns with the organization’s missions and goals. She brings more than five years of experience marshaling resources for good causes. As a Grants and Major Gifts Officer for the ACLU of Northern California, Nana supported the organization’s grants and major gifts programs to secure support for its civil rights and social justice work across the nation. As a Donor Relations Officer at East Bay Community Law Center, she helped lead fundraising activities to meet the organization’s annual budget of over $3 million, working with law firms and other individual donors.
Nana is a member of the board of Esq. Apprentice, which helps women of color become lawyers focused on advancing equity in their communities through legal apprenticeship. She holds a BA in International Comparative Studies, English and Women’s Studies from Duke University.
